Bunyawi

Commerce tools for Egyptian online stores

Your store in an app. Your orders in order.

Bunyawi makes three tools for Shopify stores that sell in Arabic and get paid at the door. Bunyawi Apps puts your store on iPhone and Android. Tarteeb confirms every order on WhatsApp, books the courier and prints the label. Tasleem checks every parcel out to the courier and every return back in.

  • Built in Egypt
  • Arabic and English
  • Hosted in Frankfurt, EU

Why Bunyawi Apps exists

Everything merchants complain about in this category is the same four things.

These are real one- and two-star reviews of the biggest app builders on the Shopify App Store. We built Bunyawi by reading all of them and writing down what not to do.

“Advertised at $100/month, jumps to $500 without clear disclosure — and the increase persists even after order volume falls back below the threshold.” Shopify App Store review, Egypt, February 2025

Flat monthly price, no revenue share, no order-volume band. The price you join at is the price you keep, in writing.

“They control the app design so you can't update it yourself.” Shopify App Store review, Australia, January 2026

You hold the editor. Change colours, home sections, tabs and copy whenever you like — no ticket, no release, no waiting for us.

“No language support; notification banners stuck in English.” Shopify App Store review, Mexico, January 2020 — still unsolved in later reviews

Arabic and full right-to-left ship on the cheapest plan. Every string in the app, and every push notification, is editable per language.

“Won't allow cancellation despite $1K/month fees. Five support reps in one year.” Shopify App Store review, United States, November 2025

Uninstall in the Shopify admin and billing stops that day. One named person handles your account, not a queue.

Bunyawi Apps · what you get

An app you can actually run yourself.

Everything visual comes from a configuration your dashboard writes — so a design change is live in the app in about a minute, with no store review and no new build.

No-code design editor

Colours for every slot, radius, fonts, logo, splash and app icon — with a live phone preview beside the controls. Two Bunyawi apps never look alike, which is also what Apple requires of a template service.

Drag-and-drop home builder

Banner sliders, product carousels, collection grids, countdowns, video, text and image tiles. Reorder by dragging, toggle a section off for a week, point any tile at a collection, product, page or search.

Unlimited push notifications

Order-status pushes fire on their own. Campaigns get a title and body per language, an image, a deep link to any collection or product, a schedule and an audience — and a test send to your own phone first.

Arabic, RTL and every language you sell in

The whole app mirrors properly — navigation, carousels, cart, order tracking. Pull your Shopify translations in, then override any individual string. Customers pick their language, or get their device's.

Shopify Checkout, cash on delivery included

The app hands off to your own Shopify checkout with the cart and the customer's details already filled in — so every payment method you have configured works, cash on delivery among them, along with your shipping rates, taxes, discounts and abandoned-checkout recovery. No second checkout to maintain, and nothing for Shopify to reject.

iOS and Android from one codebase

The same app, built twice, released together. No "the Android one is coming later" — the complaint that ends more of these reviews than any other feature gap.

Live preview, and a link for your team

Every change renders in a real phone frame as you make it. Share a preview link so a partner can look before you publish, and scan a QR code to open the real build on your own device.

We do the publishing work

You enrol as a developer and add us with the smallest permission that works — App Manager on Apple, and a release-only role on Google when you publish under your own Play account. We build, sign and submit; rejections come to us and we fix and resubmit them. Under our Google Play account, we upload the Android file. Under yours, Google's rules forbid any tool uploading for you, so the signed file goes into your Play Console, by our hand as an invited user or by yours.

Bunyawi Apps · how it works

Install today, design this afternoon, live in about two weeks.

Most of that fortnight is Apple and Google reviewing your listing. The part that is us is measured in hours.

Install from Shopify

One click in the Shopify App Store. Bunyawi reads your products, collections, languages and shipping rates straight away — nothing to import, nothing to re-key.

2 minutes

Design your app

Pick colours, upload your logo, arrange the home page, choose your tabs, write your welcome push. The preview beside you is the real app, not a picture of one.

Half an hour, or an afternoon if you enjoy it

Open your developer accounts

An Apple Developer Program membership as an organization, in your business's name — so the app is yours, the listing is yours, and the reviews are yours. A Google Play developer account is yours to choose: without one, we publish your Android app under ours. Each needs a D-U-N-S number, which is free and shared between them. We send you the exact steps and check the application with you.

The one bit with a queue — D-U-N-S can take up to 30 days, so start it on day one

We build and submit

You paste an App Store Connect API key with the App Manager role into the dashboard — never an Apple ID, never a password, and revocable in one click — and, if you publish under your own Google Play account, invite us to your Play Console with release-only permissions. Press Build; we sign, submit, answer the reviewers, and send you TestFlight and internal-test links to try first.

Build in ~20 minutes; store review 1–7 days

Price lock The price on the day you subscribe is your price for as long as you stay subscribed. We will never raise it on an existing store, and there is no order-volume band that ratchets you into a higher tier and never comes back down.

No transaction fee, ever No revenue share, no percentage of sales, no per-order fee, no charge for extra installs or devices. Several vendors in this category take 1–3% of everything the app sells. The monthly price is the whole bill.

In every plan, including Starter Bottom tab bar. Unlimited languages with full RTL. Your own Apple developer account, and your own Google Play account when you choose it. Shopify checkout with COD, cards and wallets. The two things this category holds hostage — the tab bar and multi-language — cost $299 a month elsewhere.

What you pay Apple and Google, not us Apple Developer Program, $99 a year, in your business's name — an App Store rule, not our preference, and exactly why the iPhone app can never be taken away from you. Google Play developer account, $25 once, only if you choose to publish under your own. See the full checklist.

Bunyawi Apps · questions

The things merchants ask before signing.

Do I need a Mac?

No. Nothing about building, signing or submitting either app happens on your computer. You need a browser and, for testing, a phone.

Why do I need my own Apple developer account?

Because Apple requires it. App Store Review Guideline 4.2.6 says apps built from a template service must be submitted by the provider of the app's content — that is you, not us. We are allowed to do the work; we are not allowed to be the publisher.

It is also better for you. The listing, the reviews, the ratings and the download history belong to your business. If you ever leave us, the app stays where it is and keeps working.

Google does not require it. We publish your Android app under our Google Play account unless you choose your own in the dashboard; if you leave, ask us and we move it to your own.

How long until the app is live?

Design takes an afternoon. The build takes about twenty minutes. Apple's review is usually one to three days, Google's one to seven.

The real clock is your developer accounts. A business Apple or Google account needs a D-U-N-S number, which is free but can take up to two weeks to come back — and Google warns it can take up to thirty days. Start that on your first day; everything else runs in parallel with it.

Will Apple reject a white-label app?

They reject look-alike apps and thin web wrappers. Bunyawi apps are neither: the navigation, product pages, cart and account screens are native, and the design editor exists specifically so that two merchants' apps do not look the same. If a review question does come back, it comes to us and we answer it.

Does cash on delivery work properly?

Yes. The app does not run a checkout of its own — it opens your Shopify checkout with the cart and the customer's details already in it. So COD works in the app for exactly the same reason it works on your website: it is one of the payment methods your store has configured.

That also means Shop Pay, cards and wallets, your shipping rates, your taxes, your discount codes and Shopify's abandoned-checkout emails all keep working, with nothing extra for you to set up. We prefill the phone, the country and the address so a COD order is still only a few taps.

What about Arabic?

The whole app mirrors: navigation slides the other way, carousels scroll the other way, prices and quantities sit where an Arabic reader expects them. Your Shopify translations come in automatically, and you can override any single string — including push notification copy — in the dashboard.

This is on the $49 plan, and on every plan. It is the main reason this product exists.

Can I change the design after the app is live?

Yes, as often as you like, and without a new release. Colours, home sections, tabs, banners, strings and prices all come from a configuration the app fetches when it opens. A change is live in about a minute. Only the app icon, the name and the splash screen need a new build, because those are baked into the binary.

What happens when I cancel?

Uninstall Bunyawi in your Shopify admin. Billing stops that day — there is nothing to email us about, no notice period and no cancellation form.

Your published apps stay in the stores. They will keep showing whatever the app last cached; to take them down, unpublish them in App Store Connect and the Play Console, or ask us when the Android app is under our Google Play account. We keep your data for thirty days in case you come back, then delete it.

Am I locked in?

No, and not by accident — by structure. The iPhone app is published under your Apple account, and the Android app under your own Google Play account when you choose that; those listings are never ours for you to prise away. Leave us and they stay exactly where they are, with their reviews, ratings and install base, under your own name. An Android app we published under our Google Play account is moved to your own when you ask.

Compare that with a vendor who publishes under their own account: getting your app back needs their active cooperation on both stores, and on Google Play it needs the transaction ID from their original $25 receipt. If you are on one of those today, tell us — moving an app across accounts loses its push certificates unless someone re-provisions them, and we will do that with you as part of onboarding.

Do you take a percentage of my sales?

No. No revenue share, no per-order fee, no band that moves when you have a good month. Several vendors in this category do all three.

Can I try it before my developer accounts exist?

Yes. Install, design the whole app and watch it in the live preview on your own phone during the free trial. The developer accounts are only needed at the moment you want it in the stores.

Fourteen days, your whole app, no card.

Install from the Shopify App Store, design it this afternoon, and see it running on your own phone before you decide anything.

Tarteeb — order operations

Every order confirmed, booked and printed, from one screen.

Tarteeb is the order desk for Shopify brands in Egypt — fashion, beauty, home, anything you ship. It picks up each order, fixes the address, asks the customer to confirm on WhatsApp, books the courier, prints the label, and keeps one list of the decisions only a person can make.

Orders arrive on their own

New Shopify orders appear within minutes, with each item's size, colour and custom text shown right in the list. Take phone orders in the New Order tab and they are created in Shopify too.

The address, fixed

Every address is matched to the courier's own governorate and area list. When Tarteeb is not sure, it asks you once, with one-click suggestions.

Confirmation from your own WhatsApp number

Customers get a confirmation from your verified WhatsApp Business number, through Meta's official Cloud API, with Confirm and Cancel buttons. A declined order is flagged before anything ships.

Fincart or Bosta, one click

Pick your default courier: Fincart, with any carrier on Fincart, or Bosta directly. Paste the key once, then book one order or a hundred, print the labels, follow tracking and cancel before pickup — without opening the courier's site.

Pickups and the courier group

For carriers on Fincart, Tarteeb fills in Fincart's pickup form and can post the pickup message to your courier's WhatsApp group — each with its own tick. Edits after pickup, late-parcel chases and claims go to the group from a spare number you link, never your store's number, inside your working hours.

Shipping with Bosta directly

Bosta complaints are filed and followed from your own Gmail and your Bosta dashboard, and each open one sits in Needs attention. Tarteeb also spots your Bosta shipment packages, lets you choose one, and can renew it for you if you switch that on.

Labels and packing slips print at your shop

The free Tarteeb Print Helper runs on the shop's Windows or Mac computer. Pair it once with a code and labels and packing slips print as you book. The browser can always print them too.

One list of what needs you

New phones to approve, areas to fix, failed bookings, delivery problems, declined orders, parcels nobody dispatched, late parcels, open claims and Bosta complaints — each with the button that fixes it.

Your team, with the right access

Owner, admin and staff accounts for the panel, and dispatch accounts for Tasleem — created by you, each with its own sign-in. Everyone chooses English or Arabic for themselves.

How it works

Connect Shopify

Paste your store address and an Admin API access token from a custom app in your Shopify admin. Your orders start arriving.

Paste your Fincart or Bosta key

Choose Fincart or Bosta as your default courier and paste its key in Settings — Fincart's access token or Bosta's API key. Tarteeb checks it before it books anything.

Connect WhatsApp

Connect your WhatsApp Business number for customer confirmations. If you want the courier-group messages too, link a spare number as well.

Print & ship

Install the Print Helper on the shop computer and type the pairing code. Book, print, hand over — and let your team scan each parcel out with Tasleem.

Early access Tarteeb is new. Create your account and our team switches it on after a short check — we approve new businesses one at a time. Questions about pricing: support@bunyawi.com. Everything Tarteeb does.

Tasleem — dispatch app

Scan it out. Scan it back in.

Tasleem is the phone app your team uses at the door. Every parcel's label is scanned as it goes to the courier, so you know what left, who handed it over and when — and what never left at all.

  • Scan each label as you hand it over. Tasleem warns you when an order is unconfirmed, declined, cancelled or on hold — before it leaves.
  • Scan returns back in, mark each one OK, damaged or missing, and add photos for the claim.
  • See today's dispatched list — yours or the whole team's — and ask the courier for a pickup.
  • Staff sign in with a username and password you create in Tarteeb, in English or Arabic as each prefers, and — unless you switch it off — a new phone only works after you approve it.
  • Coming soon on the App Store
  • Coming soon on Google Play

More about Tasleem

Security

Your customers' data, kept like it is someone else's.

Because it is. The short version:

  • Runs on Bunyawi's own server in Frankfurt, Germany (DigitalOcean), behind Cloudflare. The database sits on an encrypted volume and is backed up every night, encrypted.
  • Courier keys, WhatsApp tokens and Shopify credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the keys that unlock them are kept outside the database.
  • Passwords are at least 12 characters, checked against common and breached passwords, and stored with Argon2id. Every Tarteeb sign-in also needs a 6-character code sent to your email.
  • Each business's data is walled off inside the database itself, with row-level security — not only by the application code.
